Healing
Healing is a big topic these days. In our society, oftentimes people go to their doctor when they are ill, and typically get some kind of medication to “cure” them. In alternative medicine, we often go to see a healer and look to them to “heal” us. The problem, then of looking at the cause of the illness or dis-ease, can often be overlooked when treating the symptons or even doing energy healing and moving the energy through. If the person with the symptons doesn’t truly look within and change something in their patterns that is causing the illness in the first place, the healing will only be temporary until it has again manifested with the energetic direction of the individual in question.
Just as there are an infinite number of paths to enlightenment, there are an infinite number of paths on the road to one’s healing. As a healer, it is imperative that the cause of the illness be transformed. This can be done in many ways, but it is important that we look within for a greater understanding of that which we have created with regards to illness. This can be as simple as looking at what thoughts you were thinking when you sneezed three times in a row, or what part of your life path you are unsure of or feeling burdened by if you have a cold, to as complicated as what deep-seated anger or hate you are holding onto if you are diagnosed with cancer. The body is a reflection of the mind, which is set into motion by the soul’s desires. The soul wants to become closer to its God-realization, to nirvana, or to heaven, and so, in order to get there, it will let you know when you are out of alignment with your path. One way to see this is through your physical health.
As a healer, one must remember to respect the whole being. Illness is there for a reason, many times the individual will go through a horrific illness in order to learn about his or her own strength, love and will power. If this is the case, healing one without regard for the soul’s lessons is actually interfering with this opportunity. Of course, you want to help, but it may be best to consider healing only with intentions for the best for the whole person. Just by setting this intention, you can be sure you will be helping rather than hindering long-term growth and understanding.
We will be starting a healing group this quarter, to practice different healing techniques and modalities, and to share healing with each other, with the idea that we each take responsibility for our own health. Please, join us, the third Sunday of each month, 2:30 -5.
Recommended Great Read:
I’ve just re-read Anastasiaand the second book of the series, The Ringing Cedars of Russia,by Vladimir Megre. If you haven’t heard of the Siberian forest woman, Anastasia, it is an amazing true story. Anastasia is a woman that has grown up virtually on her own in the Siberian forest, watched over by her grandfathers who seem to come and go into the physical realm, nature, and the God-force. She has developed amazing abilities, using direct access to the Universal Mind, has great knowledge and wisdom to share about all kinds of things, from living with nature, the healing properties of plants, and the education of children, to the purpose of humanity, our latent abilities, and the future of the earth. A very uplifting, non-dogmatic approach to life, this book will change at least one of your perceptions, and, most likely, profoundly affect your own approach in life.
We are now carrying the first five books of the series, in a very good English translation. The books have sold over 10 million copies in Russia alone.
